BRING your QUIDs for the charity coffee pot. The pots will be ready for our arrival at the Radisson on the waterfront. Make sure you use the back door near the harbour and remember to take cleated shoes off before walking on the carpets. Our sponsors supply the room, Coffee & Tea and we chat amongst ourselves as we prepare for the following two hours or so.
Generally we will split into three groups with Ride Captains leading and tailing the way. The Rouleurs will roll around the rock at a steady social pace with plenty of re-grouping and ensure that they arrive at the designated finish point in time to ‘occupy’ the best seats. The inbetweenies will throw loops and shapes around the Rouleurs route to allow anyone to join in or dip out as they feel. The leg stretchers will attempt to be the last man standing. Once you are dropped from this group, make sure you stay within sight of the Ride Capt as the policy of ‘out of sight, out of mind’ applies here and it can very quickly mean that you are the first to the finish point, ready to accept the banter.
Everyone is welcome.
