Meeting at the Radisson Hotel on the Waterfront at 08:45, make sure you use the front entrance (through the carpark). Coffee and Tea will cost you a quid in the charity pot, so don’t forget the coins.
Five groups of riders based on how much effort you want/need to exert will roll around the rock and finish at roughly the same time at hopefully the same place. Everyone is welcome, nobody is left behind (unless you are a dropped Leg Stretcher).
Rouleurs are a social bunch that ride around to the finish generally making sure that everyone enjoys themselves.
Wheeleurs are a nice steady paced group, possibly two groups, led by Pete and Guy with a pace up to, but no more than 25km/h average.
Grimpeurs are a more frantic group that stick together and ride in loops and squares around the route of the Wheeleurs so anyone can join in or dip out as they please, pace 25-28km/h average.
Puncheurs are a training orientated group with specific drills and hills incorporated into the ride, pace 27-30km/h average.
Leg Stretchers are a training group, riding through and off for the majority of the ride. If you lose sight of them then they lose sight of you and it is time to go to the finish point, pace 30km/h+ average.
There is something for everyone and everyone is welcome.
